Dear reader,

On behalf of my department I would like to welcome you to the marketing group at VU University Amsterdam. Being a relatively young and ambitious group, we have experienced a strong growth in the recent past and will continue to expand in the future.

We are committed to creating a working environment in which it is fun to work, where one can fruitfully cooperate with colleagues and where individuals can develop themselves both professionally and personally.

Our ambition is to be an academic department that is recognized to be of high quality in the Dutch market for higher education and academic research in marketing. We aim to achieve this goal by providing top-level marketing education and by engaging in high quality research that is published in major international scientific journals. In teaching, we offer a broad program of marketing courses, including both a full-time and a part-time Master of Science in Marketing program (see ‘Education'). Our research focuses on Marketing Strategy with specialization on different topics (see ‘Research').
