You can apply for your bachelor's or master's degree when all completed examination components are published at VUnet (including your thesis mark) and you have handed in your thesis digitally.

1. Hand in your thesis digitally.

2. Fill out the application form for your degree.

3. Hand in at the faculty's students' desk (room 2A-16):

4. The programme secretariat will check your request for examination. After that you will have to sign the form and you will receive a copy.

5. Next, the secretariat will check if your thesis has been uploaded in correctly and they will ensure any missing information is added, if necessary.

6. Following that, the examination board will verify that you have indeed passed your bachelor's or master's final examination.

7.  If this is indeed the case, the University's Students' Administration will be informed and a diploma will be made up and sent to the faculty.

8. After reception of your diploma by the faculty, you will receive an invitation for the official graduation ceremony, containing date, time and place. Masters' degrees are handed out four times a year, bachelors' degrees two times (October and March).

Your diploma will be dated on the last (working) day of the month in which you apply for this. At that moment you need to be registered for the programme for which you apply.

NB: Your application can only be completed if you have complied with all of the above points.
