In

GETS
project
these
geomorphologic
conditions
and
their
relation
with
transportation
systems
were
studied
in
detail,
to
understand
their
importance
and
to
develop
methods
for
their
integration
in
Environmental
Impact
Assessment
studies.
The
GETS
project
was
funded
by
the
Training
and
Mobility
of
Researchers
Programme
of
the
European
Union
under contract number
ERBFMRXCT970162,
running
from
May
1998
until
October
2001.
