About KIN
The Knowledge, Information, and Networks (KIN) research group of the VU University Amsterdam conducts research on the use, implications and business value of innovative organizational processes and technologies. This research is conducted by a multi-disciplinary group of Ph.D. and senior researchers, with academic backgrounds in business administration, sociology, communication science, anthropology, philosophy, and computer science.
Our research contributes to an international field of research that is relatively new and multi-disciplinary. We work closely together with faculty and researchers from other universities, and cooperate with an extensive network of business partners. The KIN research group is also responsible for a number of courses in the Business Administration curriculum at the VU University Amsterdam, and facilitates the Master's specialization Information & Knowledge Management.
Director of the KIN research group is prof.dr. Marleen Huysman.
The KIN research group also serves businesses in enhancing their competitive and innovative capabilities.
