Brief résumé

From 1997 to 2001, Josje Dikkers studied Work- & Organizational Psychology at Tilburg University. She completed this study with honors (Cum Laude). In 2001, she started her PhD-project titled ‘work-home interference in relation to work, organizational, and home characteristics’ at the Department of Work- & Organizational Psychology of the Radboud University Nijmegen. Since September 2005, Josje Dikkers works at the Department of Management & Organization of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam; she currently coordinates a course on Organizational Behavior, as well as Bachelor and Master Theses within the field of Human Relations. On the 10th of April 2008, she defended her PhD thesis in Nijmegen. Her research interests primarily focus on the interaction between people’s work and private lives, and the policies and organizational culture affecting this interaction. Josje Dikkers also works part-time as a self-employed research consultant.

Research activities

As part of her PhD thesis, Josje Dikkers has performed research on work-home interaction within the field of Work- & Organizational Psychology. Her current research interests focus on work-home interaction in relation to family-frienldy policies and culture, parenthood ideology, and general associations between work and (mental) health.

Educational activities

Josje Dikkers is currently teaching the first year courses Business Research Methods and Organizational Behavior for (International) Business Administration. In addition, she coordinates and supervises Bachelor- and Master theses within the field of HRM.

ACCR research project
